Our awards recognise Core Categories and Parks & Greenspaces entrant’s efforts in improving their local environment. Entrants are assessed to a consistent standard, receiving an award recognising the standard reached.
The awards are:
Gold – Outstanding – (85% and above) (overall 170-200 points)
Silver Gilt- Very good – (70-84%) (Overall 139-169 points)
Silver – Good – (55-69%) (Overall 109-138 points)
Bronze Average – (39-54%) (Overall 78-108 points)
Certificate of Commendation Fair – (0-38%) (Overall 0-77 points)

Britain in Bloom It’s Your Neighbourhood awards
A non-competitive award scheme for small local communities managed by London in Bloom who are making a difference locally. Britain in Bloom IYN’s Awards are free to enter but must be from a hands-on group and involved in gardening, growing your own or conservation. Certificates are given in five levels – Establishing- Outstanding. A National Certificate of Distinction can be awarded to those groups who achieve the outstanding level for three consecutive years.
Our Community
A competitive category for It’s Your Neighbourhood entrants who wish to be competitive. Judged at the same time as IYNs are given, Gold, Silver Gilt, Silver & Bronze and an overall winner is declared at the London in Bloom Awards

- The London in Bloom Small Park of the Year – up to 5 acres
- The London in Bloom Park of the Year – from 5-10 acres
- The London in Bloom Large Park of the Year – from 10-24 acres
- The London in Bloom Large Park of the Year – over 25 acres
- The London in Bloom Country Park of the Year – not size specific
- The London in Bloom Small Conservation Area of the Year – up to 5 acres
- The London in Bloom Conservation area of the Year -from 5-10 acres
- The London in Bloom Large Conservation of the Year – over 10 acres
- The London in Bloom Heritage Parks & Gardens – not size specific
- The London in Bloom Walled Garden of the Year – not size specific
- The London in Bloom Business Landscape of the Year – not size specific

London in Bloom also awards Certificates of Excellence to those who have contributed to the local “in Bloom” effort.
